  Been going to this place for over 30 years.
  
  I have family from Midland and, when I was younger, used to go here on occasion after spending time at the cemetery across the street where my folks would visit their dead loved ones.  Needless to say I think it instilled a slight sense of macabre whenever I eat here and now I associate eating ice cream with death (not really, but...).
  
  Anyway, it's a dairy queen.  I got ice cream yesterday and the staff seemed very nice and pleasant enough.  I don't think I've ever had the food though, only blizzards.
  
  Maybe I'll switch it up some day and get ice cream *before* going to the cemetery.

  Went here for ice cream with another couple that we were visiting for the weekend. They go here often and say its not normally as busy as it was when we went. The ice cream was great, and apparently always is.
  
  That being said, when we went, the place was PACKED, like literally, holding your elbows in tight because everyone is so close, packed. We've seen this happen a lot at the Dairy Queen near our home so thought nothing of it.
  
  However, there was no organization between the team members, people were being served in any old order, and being given their ice cream in any order. For example, we walked in (a group of four) and were followed in by another couple. The third couples order was taken before any of ours, then our friends orders were taken, then our order. We got our ice cream first, and went outside to wait (as it was so packed). Next to come out was the couple that came in after us, but ordered first. Next, a whole lot of other people (Id say about 6). After what I think was nearly 10 minutes, definitely over 5, finally our friends! Only to find out that they had been completely forgotten about, and had to ask again for their order.
  
  Clearly no systems in place.... I have been to many Dairy Queen franchises before. We frequent the one near our home, they often get busy like this but they have a great order numbering system that works well when used properly... It was not here.

  Was there along time ago in a neighboring small town, the hangout at DQ was good, but not the unpleasant memories of the past.
